The mother said she immediately called the restaurant to look for answers but received almost no real answers. She picked up food from a McDonald's in Brighton - just about 40 minutes away from the restaurant Paret ordered from -three weeks ago. 'I was blown away'Īfter hearing Paret's story, Almashy said she felt the need to come forward. 'My baby, like she always says, "Mama, will you open my toy" So, she went to give me the toy, and when I grabbed it, it was a box cutter,' Almashy said. I need to know how this happened exactly,' the horrified mother said. 'McDonald's I need an answer as to WHY and HOW a box cutter ended up in the bottom of our daughter's happy meal,' Paret wrote. Paret is still desperate for answers, however. The mom said she reached out to police and that they are investigating. 'I’m so glad nothing happened to your girls,' another added. Immediately,' one person wrote under Paret's status. The mom's post has received dozens of comments from other disgusted parents who urged her to call corporate and to contact a lawyer. In her Facebook post - in which she attached pictures of the box cutters - Paret said she was thankful it was her seven year old instead of her two-year-old. She turned around, looked at him, held it out and said, "Dad, what is this?"' 'She opened up the box looking for the toy, and he was getting the 2-year-old set up. 'Anything could have happened, and that's what's scary,' Paret said. Paret spoke with WXYZ and said she was shocked and angered that one of her children could have been hurt if the box cutter ended up in the wrong hands. ![]() McDonald's said in a statement that they have launched an investigation into the claims
